Between 15-17 September 2023, we held our "Interview with the Earth" project Multiplication Campagne event, in the form of a Nature Consersation Dialogue, a hybrid event (September 15), Playback Theatre in Nature Workshop (September 16), Future Planning and Documentary Filming (September 17)

Nature Consersation Dialogue – 2023 september 15
The event was held at the Kónya Ádám Cultural Centre in Sepsiszentgyörgy and simultaneously streamed online via Zoom, providing a hybrid format for wider accessibility.

Ecopsychology Presentation by Zselyke Molnos:
The first session featured an online presentation by ecopsychologist Zselyke Molnos. Her talk focused on the ecological crisis as a perception crisis, exploring how our viewpoints and understanding of the environment affect our responses to ecological challenges.

This presentation set the thematic tone for the day, emphasizing the need for a shift in perception to address ecological issues effectively. It prompted participants to reconsider their relationship with the environment.

Wildlife Conservation Presentation by Réka Kis:
Réka Kis's talk provided a tangible example of active environmental conservation, highlighting the importance of wildlife monitoring and the role of individuals in environmental protection.

Playback Theatre Session:
Following the presentations, the Ökopszi and Sepsi Playback Troupes conducted a playback theatre session. This interactive format allowed, both participants, on-line and in place to process and reflect on the information presented through artistic expression.

The session facilitated a deeper emotional and intellectual engagement with the day's themes. It provided a unique platform for dialogue between the audience and the presenters, enhancing the understanding and absorption of the ecological messages.

Playback Theatre in Nature Workshop – methodological demonstration- 2023 september 16

The second day of the multiplication campaign was dedicated to a methodological demonstration of our developed program, focusing on the integration of sociodrama, participatory walks, and nature-inspired art and playback theatre techniques.

The day was structured around a comprehensive walkt hrough of the "Interview with the Earth" program, breaking it down into its methodological components. This approach allowed participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the various elements of the program and how they interconnect.

The day started with a sociodrama session, which facilitated an exploration of environmental The session showcased the distinctive technical aspects of playback theatre when working with nature-related themes. It illustrated how playback theatre could intertwine dramatic play with natural elements, thereby reinforcing the paradigm of humans being an integral part of nature.

Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the "Interview with the Earth" program's methodology, appreciating the seamless integration of different elements to create a holistic environmental education experience.

By dissecting and showcasing each methodological element, the participants were able to grasp the intricacies and effectiveness of the program. This deep dive into the program's methodology not only enhanced their understanding but also provided them with practical tools and techniques to integrate into their work, furthering the mission of environmental awareness and education through creative and interactive means.

The presence of members from various playback troupes was not only an endorsement of our methodology but also an opportunity for knowledge exchange. These participants expressed their intention to incorporate elements from our project into their playback theatre work and professional practices.

Future Planning and Documentary Filming (September 17)
Day 3 of the multiplication campaign focused on contemplating future plans and the project's impact, involving both the Sepsi and Ökopszi Playback Companies.

Documentary Filming: Students from the Marosvásárhelyi Art University filmed interviews and scenes for a documentary, aiming to capture the project's impact on participants.
A dedicated session was held to discuss the integration of the project's methodologies into the regular activities of participating associations and PT Companies. Strategies were developed to disseminate the project's methodologies beyond the current participant base, aiming to engage a broader audience in environmental education and artistic expression.

There was a consensus on the importance of continued collaboration and networking among the participating groups to support the ongoing application and evolution of the project's methodologies.

The interviews highlighted the project's profound effect on participants, while the planning sessions provided a roadmap for integrating the project's innovative approaches into the ongoing activities of various associations and Playback Theatre Groups. The commitment to continued collaboration and expansion ensures that the project's methodologies will continue to influence and enrich environmental and artistic practices well into the future.
